Every portrait begins with the right photograph

A beautiful painting begins with a beautiful reference. I recommend using a professional photograph that’s well-lit, in focus, and shows your child’s natural expression and outfit clearly.

Don’t have one yet? I can help coordinate with your photographer to make sure we get exactly what we need. And if you’re in the New York City, Baton Rouge, or New Orleans areas, I’m available to photograph your child myself for an additional $200.

The better the photo, the more magical the final portrait — so we’ll make sure you’re set up for success before I ever pick up a brush.

Creating in my Studio

This is slow art, made to last generations.

Together, we’ll choose the background, colors, and overall feel of your child’s portrait so it fits perfectly with your home and reflects your child’s unique personality. We will make your portrait feel right at home on your walls for years to come.

Your portrait is then hand-painted by me in my New York City studio.

Every brushstroke is done with intention, love, and a deep respect for classic portraiture — all with your child as the star.

Receive Your Heirloom

A portrait to treasure forever

Each portrait takes time and heart to create, and the full process typically takes about 8–10 months from start to finish.

I’ll keep you updated along the way, where you will have the chance to give edits to make sure its exactly what you imagined.

When it’s complete, your finished heirloom is carefully packaged and sent to you, ready to be treasured for generations.
