My Story

Cora is a 2017 graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy where she won the Art & Outstanding Graduate award in her graduating class. She continued her education at Louisiana State University attending the Honors College and graduating with a major in History with minors in Classical Studies, Latin, and Business. She was able to enjoy internships as a gallery assistant for Ann Connelly Fine Art as well as the LSU Museum of Art. Since graduating Louisiana State University in 2021, Cora has been able to take my art on as a full time career.

My Work

I have always loved creating and perfecting faces. I obsessed over copying magazines and posters into my sketchbooks when I was younger. As I grew up, I became proud of my talent for bringing out the beauty in a face. As a fan of history, portraiture has always been a fascination of mine. Famous figures through history have used portraits not only to share their appears but to make a statement about how they wished to be portrayed in the world.

Portraiture is so much more than trying to capture a pretty face.
